Quick and easy 'one click' ordering on Amazon. Delivery within three days. Connect up mains and USB within a few minutes. No additional driver software to bother about. Minimal space required on the desk. Result was 'oodles' of additional disc space, easy Drag & Drop, ideal for backups. Excellent product.

I wanted an external drive to back-up TV programs and films recorded on our Humax PVR. The drive worked perfectly out-of-the-box. I formatted the drive EXT3, plugged it into the Humax recorder and away it went. All works without fuss - left on all day it stays very cool, I can't detect any sound when copying over to the drive, so its very quiet in use, and no switches or buttons to mess with, just plug it in and that's it! Simple and stylish.

With the 1TB capacity, system back-ups are no problem and have saved me hours NOT having to re-format and re-install OS's and applications. SO far no problems with the unit and delivery was earlier than expected, arriving well packed and in perfect condition. ALL required paperwork was included. Laying flat on the work area is a bonus in that there is less likelyhood of it being knocked over in a quite restricted area. Well thought out slim design with power and USB connections easily accessible. Wouldn't be without it

I bought this to back-up all my music, photos and important documents. It works smoothly, with user friendly drag-and-drop facility. I have found it heats up quite a lot when in use, but is virtually silent. It must be plugged in to the mains to use it.
Since buying it, I have also started storing films on it - this is where it is slightly hindered compared to other products on the market. I have found that in order to play the films I have stored on other consoles (i.e. PS3) I have had to re-format it, which has halved it's memory. Considering the 1TB memory is why I bought it, this is a pretty big drawback for me, although I must point out I didn't buy it with this use in mind originally. Nevertheless, this is why I have marked it down a bit.
